Pugachev

Petro Pugachev (born May 11th, 1980 in Minsk, Belarus) is a professional wrestler, former competitive weightlifter, and town ruffian currently competing in APG as one-third of the Russians.

Early Life[]

Pugachev, born Petro Razman Kadryov III, was born in Minsk, Belarus, to retired Cossack Pero Pugachev II and his wife, Galina Friske. Pugachev, who was culturally raised a Terek Cossack, worked as a strongman and busker to support his family in his mid teens, until he was found by talent scout Jack Turner-Lacan and offered a contract in Japan for AAPW.

AAPW[]

Pugachev, who stands at 6'8", was a perfect Gaijin Monster from the moment of his debut in AAPW as "Petro Pugachev". While he never had many high-profile feuds, he was noted for his deliberate movements and the fact that he looked like he (and often actually did) hurt the smaller wrestlers. Eventually, it was decided that he would be paired with light-heavyweight Constantine Davidov, himself a worker hailing from Belarus, as "The Russians"

The Russians were an incredibly over tag-Team faction, often drawing supreme ire from the normally reserved Japanese crowd. Pugachev suffered a broken leg during the middle of their run for the tag championships, sidelining the team until they eventually were handed their release.

APG[]

The Russians were signed with APG after Manuel Obando saw them work a show while he was touring Europe. Though initially slated to be a tag team, management's acquisition of Russian-born Pavel Ushakov modified the group into a trio, with Petro the obvious powerhouse, Constantine the high flier, and Pavel the "wild card".
